Désirée Del Santo has been awarded TrueArtMusic Artist Prize from winning Best Classical Musicians Awards 2022 S3 Grand Prize

Désirée Del Santo received her MA in flute with honors at the Conservatory of Livorno “Pietro Mascagni” (Italy). She studied with A. Oliva at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, M. Marasco and F. Fabbrizzi (Florence), A. Manco (Milan). She has taken part in various masterclasses held by internationally renowned teachers such as P. Taballione, D. Formisano, F. Loi, W. Auer, and M. Larrieu. In 2017 Désirée was selected to take part in the International Flautissimo Festival in Rome under the supervision of J. Beaudiment. She has further developed the piccolo repertoire with N. Mazzanti at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Academy and at the Conservatory of Milan “Giuseppe Verdi”, where she obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in piccolo performance with full marks. As a soloist, she won the first prize in the Premio Crescendo Competition, the Riviera Etrusca National Competition, the Riviera della Versilia Competition, the Syntonia International Competition, and the third prize at the 29th National Flute Competition E. Krakamp. She won the first prize at the Bellagio International Music Performance Competition in chamber music. Désirée was awarded the S. Gazzelloni scholarship in Florence (2016) and the Rotary Club Mascagni scholarship in Livorno for solo (2015) and chamber music performance (2016). Among the orchestras she has collaborated with are the Puccini Festival Orchestra in Torre del Lago, the Young Talents Orchestra in Rome, the Orchestra of the National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka (Croatia), the Arché Orchestra, the Camerata Strumentale Città di Prato performing in the role of first and second flute and piccolo. She held recitals as a soloist, in flute and piano duo and other chamber ensembles in national and international festivals, including the Morellino Classica International Festival, the Lucca Classica Music Festival, the Fundación Eutherpe in León (Spain), the Francigena International Arts Festival in Lucca.
