Yichi Dong, bamboo flute player based in York, UK, has received two Gold Prizes, two Silver Prizes, and the Unique Personality Special Prize in the Choir/Ensemble Music and National Music categories for both her solo performance and her performance with the York Chinese Folk Ensemble at the World Artistry Music Award 2025 Season 3.
Reflecting on her experience, Yichi shared:
“I would like to express my gratitude to the organizing community of the World Artistry Music Award for providing this inclusive and professional platform allowing music and art from different cultural backgrounds to exchange and collide...In the future, I will continue to use bamboo flute as the media to boldly explore the integration of traditional Chinese music and diverse music styles, allowing more people to hear the unique sounds of Chinese traditional music.”
