Turkish composer Sezen Şen has been awarded the Silver Prize for her composition Antakya at the Erik Satie International Music Competition 2025 Season 4. Reflecting on this recognition, Sezen shared the emotional meaning behind her work and her gratitude to the competition:
"I'm so happy to receive a silver prize from Erik Satie Music Competition. I really want to thank to everyone from organization team. My piece Antakya is about the city that I was born and in 2023 we had a big earthquake and many people died and I tried to tell all my emotions about the city and also this is so important to have this prize cuz this is first time to feel confidence about sharing my piece. I really want to thank to organization team to jury to all listeners. Thank you."
