Duo Internacional was awarded the Platinum Prize in the Duo Music category of the 2025 Season 2 Grand Prix International Music Contest.
When and why did you form your duo, and does playing music together hold a special meaning for you?
We have formed our duo more than 6 months ago. The idea was to play together chamber music. To perform classical repertoire on stage as well as participate in international competitions, masterclasses and live concerts. Playing together as a duo has a special place in our hearts - that was the way we have formally met and later decided to continue playing together.
Could you tell us more about your award-winning video performance? For instance, how did you prepare for it, collaborate, bring it to life, or are there any interesting behind-the-scenes stories you’d like to share?
The preparation period begun not as long before the competition. It was more than 3 weeks of everyday, constant rehearsals of only duo members. Everyday we were sharing new ideas and trying to get them into life.
