Ustinya Malinina - World Classical Music Awards 2023 S4 Grand Prize Winner

Ustinya Malinina is a Russian mezzo-soprano, currently in her fourth year as a Bachelor’s student at the Royal College of Music (RCM).
As an RCM Award Holder, Ustinya was awarded 3rd prize in the 2021 Kathleen Ferrier Bursary Competition, 2nd prize in the 2022 Neapolitan Masters competition, 1st prize in the 2023 Gold International Classical Music Competition, and her first Grand Prize in this year’s prestigious World Classical Music Awards.
She has performed at many prestigious venues, including the Royal College of Music's Britten Theatre, Crocus City Hall, the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, the Oktyabr'skiy Concert Hall in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Gasteig in Munich, Germany.
Recently, Ustinya made her debut at the Royal College of Music's Britten Theatre, covering the roles of 'La Chatte' and 'L’écureuil' in 'L’Enfant et les Sortilèges' by Maurice Ravel, and singing in the chorus of 'La bella dormente nel bosco' by Ottorino Respighi.
She has also recently performed the roles of 'Ottavia' in 'L'incoronazione di Poppea' and 'Melanto' in 'Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria' by Monteverdi, in addition to singing in the chorus of 'Barnum's Bird' by Libby Larsen.
