Yuxin Wu's Biography


Yuxin Wu was born in Hunan, China and is currently a Double Bass teacher at Anhui Normal University in China. In 2008, she was admitted to Interchen Arts Academy, a prestigious American high school for the arts. In 2012, she was admitted to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Scott Pingle, principal of the San Francisco Symphony, and with Shinji Eshima, principal of the San Francisco Opera. In 2016, he entered North Texas University for her master's degree with Jeff Bradetich, a famous double bass educator and performer. In 2020, she entered Arizona State University, where she studied with world-renowned double bass soloist Catalin Rotaru. During her 10 years of study in the U.S., she has given 10 solo recitals and participated in many concerts, including solo, chamber and orchestra concerts. She has performed with the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Opera, Richardson Symphony, and Dallas Symphony, and has received enthusiastic responses. Participated in master classes for double bass held by world-renowned music academies and festivals. During her graduate studies, she served as a teaching assistant and assisted her teacher in organizing international double bass competitions. She also won several first prizes in international competitions.
