Marta Lis

Marta Lis is a violinist who was born in Leszno, Poland. Currently, she is a student in the violin class of Prof. M. Baranowski and MA J. Kreft at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. Marta has won first prizes at the most important violin competitions in Poland, such as the A. Januszajtis Violin Competition in Gdańsk and the S. Serwaczyński Competition for Young Violinists in Lublin. She has also won almost 40 national and international music contests. Marta is an active performer who participates in solo and chamber performances during important Polish festivals and other non-academic projects.

Throughout her career, Marta has performed in many illustrious venues, including the Royal Castle in Warsaw, NOSPR in Katowice, the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Center in Lusławice, Łazienki Królewskie in Warsaw, the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra, the Zielona Góra Philharmonic, and the University Hall in Poznań. She has also participated in the European Chamber Music Academy and workshops with the authorities of the music community, such as C. Brown, A. Gębski, M. Vaiman, B. Nizioł, X. Wang, M. Urbaniak-Lisik, A. Bielov, E. Sinaisky, Z. Pilch, A. Tait, H. Kraggerud, P. Fischer, D. Grant, P. Prause, J. Talich, and D. Stabrawa.

Marta's artistic achievements have earned her numerous scholarships, including the Award of the City of Poznań, Scholarship of the President of Leszno, Scholarship of the Center for Artistic Education, Rector of the Academy of Music in Poznań, Rector of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, and the National Children's Fund. Currently, Marta plays an Italian instrument from the 18th century from the collection of the Association of Polish Artist Violin Makers, as well as a modern instrument built by W. Topa in 2013.
